Free Quote Generator

A quote is a fixed price for a defined scope. Once the client accepts it, that is the number you invoice. An estimate can still move. An invoice is the bill after the work.

Set the document type to Quote, list what is included and what is not, put a valid-until date on the page, and download the PDF. No account.

When to send a quote instead of an estimate

Send an estimate when you have not seen the whole job, or when material prices can move. Send a quote when the scope is defined and you are willing to be held to the total. After they accept, open the invoice generator, keep the lines, and change the document type to Invoice.

What the quote PDF needs

A quote number (QTE-001, not the invoice sequence), the issue date, a validity date, itemised lines, the fixed total, what is excluded, and how they accept: a reply, a signature, or a deposit. A quote issued 19 October 2026 for design work should say valid until 18 November 2026, not “until you decide.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I turn this quote into an invoice?

Yes. After the client accepts, reuse the line items, switch the document type to Invoice, add an invoice number and a due date, and download again.

Is a quote binding?

A quote is an offer. It usually becomes binding when the client accepts it in writing or pays the deposit you asked for. Put the validity date on the PDF so the offer expires.

Should I include tax?

Yes. Show tax as its own line so the total they accept is the total they will be invoiced.

Do I need an account?

No. The quote is created in your browser.
